Thank you for your interest in helping Repair PDX! We are a 100% volunteer-run organization. Our volunteers are typically people who:
- Love tinkering, repairing small appliances/electronics, fixing bikes, mending garments, or fixing other items we haven’t mentioned yet
- Helping with event support
- Enjoy getting to know new people
- Get satisfaction from helping others in our community through meaningful service
How often do you hold events?
We generally host one or two events per month.
Where do you hold events?
Repair PDX partners with community organizations to host repair events at different venues all around Portland. Before each event, we email our volunteers with details about date, time and place so you can choose which events you’d like to participate in and how you want to help.

Should I bring my own tools and if so which ones?
Yes, we ask all our volunteers to bring their own tools. It’s always a challenge to know what to bring because we never really know what’s going to come through the door! It’s a good bet though to bring the tools that you use the most often and we always find that if you don’t have something, one of the other volunteers will have that exact thing that is needed.
