We had a great time at our first Fix-it Fair this past January 25th at Rosa Parks Elementary School.
Fix-It Fairs are organized by the city of Portland; they are free events where you can learn simple and effective ways to save money and stay healthy.
The events featured exhibits from numerous community partners and an extensive schedule of workshops held throughout the day. We hope to be back soon!
Christina Cooke wrote an article in the Atlantic about Repair PDX that really captures who we are and what we do.
We’re going back to some of the old values our grandparents held and moving away from mainstream consumption,” said Cindy Correll, one of the café’s other organizers.
