The Milwaukie Area Green Team will be hosting the second Milwaukie Repair Fair on Saturday April 7 2018 10am – 2pm

Gresham Repair Cafe

Get your broken items fixed by community volunteers for free.

The City and Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations are teaming up with the City of Portland to bring people with repair skills together to help neighbors fix their broken items

Types of household items repaired

  • Broken bicycles, chains and tires
  • Torn clothing, missing buttons and other fabric repairs
  • Broken clocks, fans and small kitchen appliances
  • Electronics (calculators, Gameboys, remote controls)

Please note: Televisions, microwaves and small engines are not repairable at this event.

Free Lead-Safe Home Projects Workshop

Before scraping, sanding, or remodeling any painted surface in pre-1978 housing, check out this class! It’s great for people who want to do a small project that may involve exposure to lead paint, such as sanding down an old window frame or a reused door with potential lead paint, or a small renovation project in an older home. The class will also discuss the requirements for hiring certified contractors to work on pre-1978 housing. Eligible participants will receive a free kit of testing and working materials, as well as valuable information on protecting your family from lead exposure during home renovations.
